Hochmodernes Testzentrum für PV-Module
Die Suntech Power Holdings, nach eigenen Angaben weltgrößter Hersteller von PV-Modulen aus kristallinem Silicium, eröffnet das erste und hochmoderne Testlabor für PV-Module, das zugleich das Witness Testing Data Program (WTDP)-Zertifikat von Underwriters Laboratories (UL) erhält. Das Labor befindet sich in der Suntech-Firmenzentrale in Wuxi.

Das Labor ist mit der neusten Technik für die Evaluierung aller Aspekte der Modulqualität und -leistung ausgestattet, darunter Puls- und Dauersolarsimulatoren, begehbare Klimaräume, mechanische Last- und Hageltester, Elektrolumineszenztester sowie hoch präzise Infrarotkameras für das Prüfen von nicht visuellen Testkriterien. Mit 1400 m² Innen- und 7000 m² Außentestfläche ist es das größte PV-Modul-Testcenter seiner Art in China.
Die gesamte Ausstattung sowie alle Testprozesse entsprechen den strengen Standards UL1703, IEC61215 und IEC61730-2. Das WTDP-Zertifikat legt fest, dass die PV-Modultests unter der Aufsicht hochversierter UL-Experten durchgeführt werden können. Durch die anschließende UL-Zertifizierung kann Suntech Solarprodukte schneller auf den Markt bringen.

First PV Module Testing Lab in China to be Awarded Underwriters Laboratories
Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP), the world‘s largest crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, has opened the first state-of-the-art PV module testing laboratory in China to be awarded the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Witness Testing Data Program (WTDP) Certificate.
Located at Suntech‘s headquarters in Wuxi, the world-class PV module testing facility is the largest in China with 1400sqm and 7000sqm of indoor and outdoor testing space, respectively. The cutting edge test equipment includes pulse and continuous solar simulators, walk-in climate chambers, mechanical load and hail testers, electroluminescence testers, and high precision infrared cameras to evaluate all aspects of module quality and performance. All the equipment and testing procedures accord with the stringent standards of UL1703, IEC61215 and IEC61730-2. Through UL‘s WTDP, PV module tests may be conducted under the supervision of highly experienced UL personnel and subsequently awarded certification enabling Suntech to bring solar products to market faster.
