EPEE AGM looks forward to another successful year

13 June 2014 – On 5 June in Brussels the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which Jürgen Göller of UTC was elected as Chair of EPEE, Paul Sanders of Honeywell was elected Vice Chair, and Jean Janssen of Emerson was elected Treasurer. The meeting brought together representatives from a wide range of EPEE’s membership and provided the opportunity to reflect on what has been a successful year for the association, whilst also looking ahead to the challenges to come.

Andrea Voigt, Director General of EPEE, said: “The last twelve months have been an extremely busy year for EPEE, but we emerge from it stronger and well-placed to continue representing our members’ interests be it on energy efficiency, refrigerants or any other topic relevant for our sector. I would like to personally congratulate Jürgen, Paul, and Jean on their new appointments and look forward to working with them for the next two years.”

During the meeting EPEE members reviewed their activities over the last year, including the discussions on the F-gas Regulation in which EPEE played a very constructive role to help facilitate a compromise which was accepted by all stakeholders.

Other issues discussed during the AGM included EPEE’s increased presence in the market surveillance and Ecodesign debate and its support for energy efficiency targets for 2030.

Looking ahead to the next twelve months, EPEE is aiming to become the “go-to” association for issues concerning the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump sector, to continue provide considerable benefits and added value to its members, and to be recognised as a thought-leader in Brussels.

Ms Voigt concluded: “I would like to thank our members for their continued work and commitment to the association and look forward to another successful year for EPEE.”
